Well, it’s not really a surprise if you’re one of my close friends. I have been dreaming and talking about starting a blog for over 2 years and with the help on my wonderful fiancé, I’m finally starting it! If you’re wondering why it took me so long, it was fear. I was scared of what people would think, scared of failing, scared of it all. Remember that wonderful fiancé I just mentioned? Well he is the reason that I have the courage to take this step. He has been encouraging me from the beginning, researching photography tips, building my website and providing more reassurance than I thought was possible. He is the reason that The Sinclair Style is here! (And the reason for the name because I’ll be a Sinclair in December!!)
If you know me at all you know that my favorite thing in the world is giving someone a gift. I don’t care if I’ve known you for a month or 10 years, I want to get you a gift and I want it to be perfect for you. I love seeing the look on people’s faces, making people feel loved, and I love more than anything bringing happiness to someone. I want my blog to be a gift to you- anyone reading this. I want you to come here for fashion inspiration, tips, stories, faith and fun. I want this to be a place where I can give you something even if we’re thousands of miles apart. I hope that this blog brings you joy and happiness because that is exactly what it brings me!
While I absolutely hate taking photos, I feel like its going to help me come out of my shell a bit! It also helps that my photographer, who will also be photographing our wedding, is amazing! Seriously, if you ever need a photographer in Dallas reach out to Mary Margaret from MG Photography! She makes me feel so comfortable in front of the camera and the pictures always turn out great!
I want to focus on affordable fashion, faith, lifestyle and tips and tricks that I’ve learned along the way. I want to help you shop your own closet, find an outfit when you think you have nothing to wear, and maybe even help you get through a rough day. I want to reinforce the fact that I don’t think you have to constantly be buying the next thing in order to stay “on trend.” I think that you can use what you already have, buy a few things here and there, and make your style look great for many seasons to come. I want to encourage you, make you laugh, build you up and help you in any way that I can. I can’t wait to start this journey and I’m so happy that you’re along for the ride!
Also, another push for this blog was this video…
I’ve got Murphy so now I’ve got a blog! 😉
